What a Party!
Milwaukee paraded its black and chrome colors over Labor Day weekend 2009, sipping on the last weekend of summer, Harley style for the Milwaukee Rally. Bikes of many colors and vintages took over the Cream City’s streets.
“We come here to celebrate with the Harley family,” said Ken Rehm, biker attending the the dealership events on Sunday. “This is the Church of Harley--and it’s a blast.”
More than 40,000 bikers joined in the festivities at the four dealerships, State Fair Park and the Harley-Davidson Museum. By Sunday, there were a lot of sunburns to prove that a good time was had.
More than 600 people played the Poker Run. Judy Opat won the Poker run 1st prize - The Custom Potawatomi Bike. Her hand: five of a kind, Jacks.

On Saturday the stages riveted with a revival of Southern Rock and Latosha Booth took home the crown for Ms. Milwaukee. The well-painted Irv Browning was named overall winner of the tattoo contest.
Sunday at the Harley-Davidson Museum drew in plenty of people to check out the Custom Bike Show.
It was a party that never seemed to end, beer tents at the dealerships kept flowing, and bluegrass and hairband live music stretched out the final days of summer.
It was a family reunion for those who love the best freedom on two wheels.
“People don’t know what they’re missing if they don’t come -- it’s a blast!” said Rehm.
